Music
Here, on this very page, you will find every single music track - except one - that I have ever written or performed. There are thirteen tracks in total, and twelve of them can be found here. The last, which at this moment in time still remains nameless, might be released at a later date but that is for the future. Here you can listen to the songs, all in MP3 format. The images used for each of the tracks is of the Windows Media Player visualisation which was displayed as the track was played.
| 01 The Abyss (03:04) This track was originally made in early 2003 and the lead guitar was re-recorded in the summer of 2006. Keyboards and bass by Keith Phillips. Click here to listen. (2.81Mb) |
| 02 Hysteria Syndrome Again, Doctor? (04:30) The name for this one comes from the radio sample at the beginning. I played the lead guitar and I re-arranged the samples throughout. Keyboards andbass by Keith Phillips. Click here to listen. (4.12Mb) |
| 03 Boring Interlude I (00:21) This short track provides some light relief when listening all the way through. It is the first of three. Click here to listen. (337Kb) |
| 04 A Few Dollars Overdrawn (05:52) One of the first tracks to be made in 2005, this one is my least favourite of them all. It is free flowing and features completely improvised lead over a DJ Shadow drumbeat. Keyboards and bass by Keith Phillips. Click here to listen. (5.38Mb) |
| 05 Genres (04:06) The most ambitious of tracks I have ever tried, Genres attempts to keep the music the same, but switch its genre. We begin with Indie and switch to Latin, with a quick stop at Regge before hitting Western. Keyboards, bass and lead on Indie/Latin by Keith Phillips. Click here to listen. (3.75Mb) |
| 06 Logic (03:16) The name for this track doesn't really have any resemblence to its music or features. Although it does feature me on keyboards, which is unusual and the flow of the song is interrupted by the B section. Normally, this would grate on me, but in this case I think it works well. Bass by Keith Phillips. Click here to listen. (3.74Mb) |
| 07 Boring Interlude II (00:37) This short track provides some light relief when listening all the way through. It is the second of three. Click here to listen. (595Kb) |
| 08 Gleebo's Jazz Quartet (04:28) Back in 2004, the baseline to this song was written. It eventually moved from guitar to bass guitar as different elements were added. Keyboards and 'A section' bass Keith Phillips. Click here to listen. (4.10Mb) |
| 09 Quatro's Jungle Dance (03:10) The name for this track comes immediately from how the drum and percussion sounded to me. Keyboards, bass and guitar slide improvisation by Keith Phillips. Click here to listen. (2.90Mb) |
| 10 Boring Interlude III (00:34) This short track provides some light relief when listening all the way through. It is the third of three. Click here to listen. (538Kb) |
| 11 Out Of Time (05:24) Here the name comes not from a clumsy playing style, but rather the time signature of the track. It finishes with a 12 bar blues sequence, playing in an irregular time signature also. Keyboards and bass by Keith Phillips. Click here to listen. (4.93Mb) |
| 12 The Boy With The Arab Strap (05:32) This is a cover version, performed by me, of my favourite song. The original artist is Belle and Sebastian and, yes, that vocal track is me. Keyboards by Keith Phillips. Click here to listen. (5.07Mb) |
