In 2005, I purchased a book from a local bookshop called 'The Timewaster Letters' by an authour whose name I can't quite remember at the time of writing. To cut a long story short, he wrote to hundreds of companies throughout the UK with completely stupid letters.

The book has nothing except copies of his letters and the companies' replies, each one becoming much more absurd than the previous. He would continue writing back until no response (or a conclusion) was the outcome.
